Disability Worker Regulation Scheme – Join our next interactive webinar!

Join Amaze CEO, Jim Mullan, and the Commissioner of the Victorian Disability Worker Commission, Dan Stubbs, as they discuss how the Commission is working to improve the quality and safety of care for Autistic people and their families.

The Disability Worker Regulation Scheme was established after the Victorian Parliamentary Inquiry into Abuse in Disability Services, which heard about the abuse and neglect of people with disability, particularly conduct by disability workers. The Scheme includes a Code of Conduct for all disability workers, an independent complaints service, mandatory notifications and voluntary registration for Victorian disability workers.

Hosted by Jim Mullan, this webinar will provide attendees with a clear understanding of the role of the Commission and components of the Scheme. Dan Stubbs will outline the types of complaints and actions that the Commission can take, and the purpose and value of disability worker registration for Autistic people and their families. This webinar will also cover how the Commission is working to raise standards in the sector, in direct response to issues raised by parents and families across the autism community.

The webinar will consist of a 30-minute interview between Jim and Dan, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A from the audience.
