Raise Funds and Awareness
Fundraising is of great importance to Amaze – and so is raising awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder!
Better understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder leads to better acceptance and a better life for individuals and families affected by it.
We are regularly surprised and delighted by the activities and events that caring people organise – and if you are thinking about organising an event, hopefully something here will inspire you!
You can find out what’s coming up in this section.
Regular events: Run Melbourne, the Melbourne Marathon Festival, Giants of the Bay (swimming marathon) and the Melbourne City to Sea.
One-off events: cycle rides, morning teas, walks, trivia nights, Kokoda, and more!
We are grateful for all fundraisers, from major events to morning teas – and everything in between!
Any activity or event that helps spread information about Autism Spectrum Disorder in turn helps improve understanding and leads to a slightly easier journey for those people affected.
It’s great to see the variety of activities and the ingenuity and inventiveness out there.
A big thank you to all our wonderful fundraisers.
It’s not hard to fundraise! In fact it can be a lot of fun….
The trick is to choose something that you like doing anyway, and then turn it into a fundraising activity. This flyer - Autism Fundraising Ideas - gives some suggestions to help you come up with the right fundraiser for you. And if none of these floats your boat, come up with something new! (And don’t forget to tell us about it.)
This is a great way to start! The fundraising tray (pictured right) contains 95 items – wrist bands, coloured lapel pins, silver puzzle piece lapel pins and keyrings.
Just fill in this form and return it to us – we’ll send it out to you and you can start staightaway.
Events and Activities
The Legal Bit: if you decide to run a fundraiser for Amaze, you will need an ‘authorisation to fundraise’ from us. Please fill in this form and return it to us: we can help you by letting our members know about your event and posting it on the website. This is very straightforward, so please don’t let it put you off!
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions regarding fundraising, please call us on (03) 9657 1611, or email us.
Thank you for your support.
