Fact sheets about rights under NDIS now available
NDIS Rights is a group of three legal practices providing information about the NDIS. Their website provides a range of fact sheets on subjects such as advocacy, discrimination, needs assessment, making complaints and more.
The Fact Sheets have been developed by Fitzroy Legal Service, Hobart Community Legal Service and Redfern Legal Centre with a grant from the Commonwealth Attorney-General Department’s Human Rights Framework – Education Grants. They address community need for rights-based legal information when accessing the NDIS and provide give basic information about what rights a person has under the NDIS and what they can do if they feel their rights are not being recognised, giving general information only: they are not meant to replace legal advice or advocacy.
