My name is Kerryn and I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of 30. Prior to that nothing much was known about Autism in the 70’s, 80’s, early 90’s. It was only the late 90’s, that ASD was starting to become known in society. It is now one of the most highly diagnosed & recognised “disorders” in the world.
I went through a self discovery life journey over a 10 year period. I also had to find my purpose in life and my place in society and have overcome the many challenges and fears faced by stepping into the unknown, and have achieved many unfulfilled life goals that I often dreamt of.
Now I run a business educating the public on Autism Awareness and also provide self help life course workbooks for those who are struggling to understand the complexities of both Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome and also for those who are struggling and wish to improve their own life journeys. They are called “The Goal” and “The Power of Positivity”! These books, together with the Aspektism for Kids/Adults & Workism Series are available on the KTalk website.
I thrive for life and love the challenges that it throws at me, and am always keen to do things that people never do themselves. I look forward to the next step of where my life journey takes me.
