Helping Children with Autism Funding Package

**The Helping Children with Autism funding has now closed in Victoria.**

If your child is currently receiving HCWA funding you will be able to continue to use this as normal.

If your child is not receiving funding, supports may be available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).  Find more information about applying for the NDIS.

Children under the age of seven will enter through the Early Childhood pathway

What is the Helping Children with Autism Package?

The Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package was an Australian Government initiative providing support for children aged 0 – 6 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), their families and carers.

The package covered a range of initiatives and services, including funding for therapies.

How do I apply for the Helping Children with Autism Funding?

The Autism Advisor Service at Autism Victoria/Amaze was responsible for administering the funding component of the package to eligible families of children aged 0 – 6 in Victoria.

Your Autism Advisor will be there to assist you every step of the way while you access the HCWA funding.
