Amaze Non Executive Board Director (3 positions)
Established in 1987, Amaze is a non-profit organisation operating as the peak body for people on the autism spectrum and their supporters in Victoria. Amaze works to drive awareness and build understanding of autism and create systemic change to increase opportunities for people on the autism spectrum.
Amaze launched its new Strategic Directions to 2040 in July with the social impact goal for a society that respects every person on the autism spectrum and offers them real opportunities to participate and contribute. The board provides oversight to achieving the plan’s deliverables and outcomes. (Amaze Strategic Directions to 2040)
The Amaze board is a skills-based board comprising Directors with core competencies in governance as well as specific expertise and qualifications relating to the organisation’s priorities. The board is currently seeking to appoint three directors in the categories of:
- Clinical service provider and others who work directly with the autism community
- One position to be open only to individuals on the autism spectrum who brings a broad engagement and experience with perspectives and attitudes within the autistic community (such as through advocacy or policy work);

The Amaze board meets monthly at 530pm in Carlton and board members also participate on board committees and in the annual strategic planning meeting.
Board members serve on a voluntary basis for a term of three years.
