More sensory-friendly fun at the movies – Madagascar 3
Village Cinemas are showing sensory-friendly screenings of Madagascar 3 – Europe’s Most Wanted at 4 of their cinemas at 11am on both Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 October.
These are the second of a series of sensory-friendly pilot screenings, where house lights will be kept on and sound lowered to avoid sensory overload. The first screening, of Ice Age 4 in September was very well attended and we hope that this one will also receive a lot of support. The screening will provide a relaxing experience for those with ASD (and others who have sensory issues) and their families in an understanding environment.
“Village Cinemas are providing a great chance for families and individuals with ASD to do something that other families take for granted,” says Acting CEO, Diana Heggie. “We are very hopeful that Village will keep these going after the pilots are over.”
Madagascar 3, Sensory Friendly screenings, will be held at:
- Airport West
- Century City
- Fountain Gate
- Knox
Tickets are just $6 each and can be purchased online at www.villagecinemas.com.au– click on “Book Now”, choose one of the above locations, then pick 20 or 21 October, and the sessions which say “SFF”.
