Do you have a sibling with an Autism Spectrum Disorder? Register for the BIG Weekend NOW
When? Friday 12pm 19 October – Sunday 21 October 2 pm 2012
This event is all about having fun, meeting and establishing relationships with others who really understand what it’s like to have a sibling with ASD. There will be an opportunity to learn some strategies to help cope with some of the challenges and plenty of time to have fun by the beach.
It can be useful for siblings of children with autism to feel that they are not alone and that their peers understand and share some of their experiences. The Big Weekend will provide opportunities where they can talk about their feelings and feel accepted by others who share a common understanding, discuss common joys and concerns and learn more about issues and services that affect their families. For more information about siblings of children with Autism Spectum Disorder please see www.siblingsaustralia.org.au
